I wanted to write a song about love without it being too cliché. It could be a love song about a person, destiny, or a path in life. Musically, I was conflicted. It’s a lot more poppy than other things I’ve written; I found it hard to bridge the gap between pop and leftfield experimental. Eventually I had to let go, keep it simple and let the track take its own direction. It reminds me of Peter Gabriel.
